The Kiln is an awesome co-working space that’s just opened in Worcester. I’ve been involved a little bit over the last few years, (in that I went to a bunch of the early meetings, thought it was an ace idea, and took a bunch of photographs). I’ve been in a few times over the last few weeks to get some work done, meet people and hang out, but Friday was the official opening. I was there to celebrate, eat pizza, and take some pictures.
Friday was a real celebration, it’s been a long journey for all of the stakeholders, and particularly Hamish and Greg of F8 Creates. They’ve been talking about a co-working space for as long as I’ve known them, and pushing crazy hard for the last three years to get this one open. The Kiln is housed in the Worcester’s former police station in the centre of the city. It has conference rooms, meeting rooms, coffee and a kitchen. You can be a casual user or a subscriber, you can even have a fixed desk full-time. This is such a cool thing to have here in Worcester, I’m signed up and will be there whenever I get the chance. You can find out more here, and see more of the launch party below.
