A few months ago I got to do something a little bit different. I took my studio over to someone else’s, and made some non-stock stock.
Big Helping, an agency I work with, had a client who wanted stock-like images for their website. They wanted a stock look, but with an assurance that the images were theirs. Tim and I talked it over and agreed to transplant my studio into the Big Helping offices for a few days, so we could make some images together.
We broke out the lights and the paper rolls and made pictures of toys, honeycomb, plants, electronics, zips, fitness equipment, and the lightest (and most expensive) alloy wheel I’ve ever held.
The images are up on the client’s website now, layered with colour washes and busy being metaphorical representations of things like ‘teamwork’ and ‘precision’.
