New exhibition to open doors at Artery Studios
A thought-provoking new art exhibition is opening in Worcester.
Witness Marks, an exhibition by Worcester-based professional photographer James Greenoff-Cairns, is running at the city’s Artery Studios gallery next week.
James said: “I’m incredibly excited to open Witness Marks at The Artery. It’s a collection that tells a story of the spaces we create, collections we build, and marks we make that I hope people will find a real conversation starter.”
After a decade working nationwide from his base in the faithful city, Witness Marks is James’s first artistic exhibition.
James added: “This is a project that began as a personal labour of love, but it quickly became clear that the themes are universal, they speak to all of us, and they are something everyone can engage with – and so it became this exhibition.”
Adam Best, Artery Studios co-founder, said: “We’re really excited to show James’ photographs on our walls for his upcoming exhibition at The Artery. James is yet another example of the incredible creative talent our city has to offer and we’re pleased to be supporting local artists in our safe, Inclusive & affordable art spaces.”
The carefully curated collection accompanies a special Witness Marks website and book in portfolio and paperback editions.
You can see Witness Marks at The Artery, which is in arches 28 and 29 on Croft Street, Worcester, from Saturday until Tuesday (Dec 9-12), from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free.
