Last night was a glorious, balmy summer evening. While many were jogging or enjoying cider, cycling or perhaps honking at women in convertibles; I sat hunched, at my desk, staring at my first sprue in years.
I bought a Konstruktor, a self-assembly camera from the nice people at Lomography. It took me longer to assemble than the 1-2 hours the box suggested, just embarrassing enough given the other notation on the box – “ages 14 and up”.
The camera has a fixed aperture and shutter speed, f10 @ 1/80th of a second, so picking your ISO is all important. Given the bright sunshine this morning I loaded up with Ektar and decided to risk it for biscuit.
It was odd to think that I had the most advanced camera I’ve ever owned in my bag as I shot with one of the least… Anyway, here are a bunch of pictures from today’s experiment…
