Last week I joined the team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce for their Spring Business Expo. I was there on behalf of F8Creates to capture the busy and upbeat feel of the Expo, which began with the traditional Networking Breakfast.
Networking Breakfast
After a welcome from Chamber CEO Sharon Smith, Professor Elena Rodriguez-Falcon, CEO of NMiTE addressed the Chamber. Her Keynote was about the further development of the new engineering and technology focused university coming together in Hereford. From there were into the Expo proper, which alongside the main hall included the Food and Drink Producers Zone. I have to admit this was my favourite bit, (Croome Cuisine’s Fig and Honey Cheddar is just outstanding).
Sessions and Seminars
The sessions included a seminar on from Jon Walden, a Customs and Trade Consultant with over 30 years’ experience and another from Ben Mannion of Hewett Recruitment covering the implications of Brexit on employers of foreign nationals. It was great to catch up with friends and clients, and to meet new people and their companies. I particularly enjoyed meeting the team from Magrak. They were at their first Expo with a great new product, (I’m harbouring secret plans to include their kit in a van of my own one day soon).
